Thamesmead part 3

Yggdrasil, the World Tree
I always think it's amazing that you get a free new sunset every day.

Isildur and Anárion
This reminds me of the latter part of Full Metal Jacket, which wasn't filmed all that far away.

El galán
I think it's obvious who the good-looking one is in this boy band.

Clock that orange
This is my exact favourite time of day. When things on the ground are dark, but the clouds are like boiling gold.

I hear the water dreaming

Moonrise over the lake brings our pictorial journey through Thamesmead to a close. So remember. Visit Thamesmead. You'll be glad you did.

Awesome pictures! I like the sunset comment, too. Brutalist architecture makes everything around it look that much prettier ;)

Yay :D I think you're right.

It really is a striking place. I must watch A Clockwork Orange again because quite a lot of that was shot in Thamesmead. It's that kind of place.

I've read the book of that and have been meaning to watch the film for ages, but I've been too scared in case it's scary.

It's reely good.

The only scary thing about it for me is the tremendous disservice rendered to Beethoven.

I've enjoyed all the pictures today. Nice geometric compositions on the buildings.

We really had a lot of fun and it was quite interesting sharing a camera and seeing what each of us thought was photogenic. Steve actually knows what he is doing so his photos sort of mean something, whereas mine are just basically things that I thought looked cool. It's like a simulation of going for a walk with me and me continually annoying you by going 'Oooh, look at that... isn't that wizzo', only you don't need to walk anywhere.

This is the true power of the digital revolution.

hehe thanks. We should go on a big old photo expedition! Maybe Elephant & Castle or somewhere like that for a real [info]desolatelondon type day out.
